Or did you mean Emu?
But in any case. Someone who claims to drives from Shephard's bush to the CC zone is either a nut case, or lying.
They have to pay the CC fee, they have to pay 2 quid an hour or more to park, and they really can't save any time.

Not dumb at all then. Ken will merely have the ammo to increase the charge even further citing the amount of traffic still needs to be reduced.
Eventually everyone will be inside the charge area, still driving to work, and still paying extortionate amounts of this alternative tax.

When the congestion charge originally came in, he decided it was too expensive and so swapped his car for public transport. He used to drive to the edge of the orignal zone and park up to get the bus in. Parking and the bus remained cheaper than the congestion charge.
So far so good. My mate is doing something for the environment despite the whole journey taking and hour.
Now that Ken has extended the congestion charge westward, my mate is just outside the new border, living in Shepherd's Bush. To get in by public transport is now 90+ mins. So he's thought, 'feck it' I might as well drive in, it takes 50 mins and take the congestion hit.
Apparently, quite a lot of people who were using public transport, are now back in their cars.
Laugh? I nearly bought a round!
