True, but the green stuff seems to be smaller these days. Maybe it's like how things appear larger now we're all grown up (or should I say adults) but really they've always been like that.

But then again, even the protected country parks are under threat of road building so it's only a matter of time before there's a Tescos on it.

Fact is this island is too small for everyone that wants to live here. There's still immigrants waiting at Calaise for Sangatte II to be built, dreaming of getting into the UK. I don't know what tulipe our tourist board are saying over there but it must be good. Many people in the UK want to move to the continent and there's hordes of people wanting to the the opposite. Can't all be down to benefit scrounging and false hope/dreams can it? Isn't there any work for them in the rest of Europe that pays minimum wage, which is what many will be lucky to get here?

Yeah, as if changing geographic location can make you happier. It doesn't. Its a falacy. Unless you are being persecuted or for health reasons - but those are intrinsic reasons. not material or "grass is greener on the other side" reasons.

Hence why they watch coronation street. The last place still cobbled?

Cyprus is like the UK 20 ago and they drive on the left... if only the house prices were like 20 years ago
