Get her to call me in 11 years.Originally posted by andrew_neil_uk... coming from my daughter's room. We have a loft conversion, so I had to race downstairs. I thought she was being murdered or something.
So I dashed in and asked what was wrong. she replied "I want to take my slippers off" - she had gone to bed wearing them.
2 months ago we got the same thing - she wanted tissues to blow her nose and couldn't just go into the bathroom for some reason.
It took me 2 hours to go back to sleep. And I get up at 5:30 so I can get home to spend some time with them.
I cant be cross with her as if she really does need help or is ill I want her to scream. She was 5 last week.
Kids are not all joy and delight...

Mine is 5 months, she sleeps from 10.30pm to 6am most nights. Though we should probably start putting her to bed earlier.Originally posted by TheRightStuffmy daughter is going to be 6 months this friday. She sleeps from 7pm - 10:15. we have to wake her up for a quick feed at 10:15 and she's asleep at 10:45. This morning she was still out of it at 7am. Shes be doing that for around 3/4 months now.
Best thing I have ever done was to have her. she's great.
Totaly agree, best thing I have ever done

Ear plugs work well, but you don't half feel guilty when you go into their room in the morning after a restful nights' sleep, only to find they've been sick everywhere and obviously rolled around in for most of the night!!Originally posted by EqualOpportunitiesI think that gin holds the key.
Enough, and you'll never hear 'em...

Gina Ford - the contented baby. Have a quick google search. Tends to divide parents - they love it or hate it. Has to be started early or does not work nearly as well.Originally posted by milanbenesquestion for the naive,

happened to all at some stage - one French friend was taking his one year old daughter back to South-East France from London. Huge delays and they got really tired - daughter slipped from buggy and broke her leg. Parents distraut.

My twins were Gina Ford and I expect the new baby to be too. However I think that like any methodolgy it cant be applied rigidly - eg I suspended it if the kids had colic. But the routine bit is very important.Originally posted by TheRightStuffno I'm not gina ford ................................... yes wife reads gina ford every week. she is such a contended little baby. she's constantly smiling or giggling and eats like anything. She weighs nearly 20 pounds (6 months old).
