Wanted a cat for ages SA, really though: one bedroom, one bathroom, living room / kitchen.

I will keep it of there is nothing that can be done, just that I’m out of the flat at 7:00 am and back by 9:00 pm.

As the flat is in a block a cat flap isn’t feasible as there are 3 doors to get through!

Always said when I move its first thing on the list, looks like I may need to adjust through

Not a good idea. Particularily if its used to going to the toilet outside. Have you tried putting up FOUND posters in your area?

I saw a beautiful little kitten just sitting at the side of the road last night, it was dark but luckily all the cars in front had noticed it too and gave it a wide berth. It must have been a youngster as it looked like it was very nervous about trying to cross a busy main road.
Sure enough without warning it made a dart across the road just in front of me, and unfortunately I couldn't avoid it in time & caught it with the front nearside wheel ... so I stopped backed up and went over it again a few times just to make sure

Actually I wouldn't choose to have either. The 'Eyebrows' the dog was used to get other peoples sheep off our fields, or to round them up and flog them back to the farmer (or eat their lambs when they were about!)

We had a cat and all it did was lounge about catching the odd mouse. The thing I really dislike about cats is the way they stick their claws into you when you are stroking them.

S/he has probably left home to find somewhere better. It is strange that cat's sometimes choose there owners. Our Ginger cat turned up one day suffering from cat flu. She stayed on the dustpin for a couple of days and then decided to mome in for a bit of care due to the cat flu. The thing is that we already had three dogs and two cats - none of which bothered her. Sometimes cat's just seems to know who is best to live with.

SA's right. s/he may be happy in a flat. Also cat's are not worse or better than Dogs, they are just different and just as affectionate.

When we moved from the farm, our dog had to live in the garage - she was not house trained as previously she lived in the barn. After a few weeks we noticed that she wasn't really eating. Then a couple of months after we moved she got knocked up by one of the local dogs and was kind of house bound - well garage bound. About a week after she dropped her puppies, some woman came around to see if she was ok, a woman we didn't know. Apparantly our dog had a route around the estate which tied into the times when people were having tea. She would sit in their gardens giving them the sad eyes and wait for them to feed her. When she had not been doing her rounds for a while this woman assumed she was injured/lost.

Might have been from a neighbours house? A m8 found his cat trying to drag a massive chop through the cat flap - never did found out which neighbours house it was swiped from.

a friends dog did a similar thing it walked into the lounge on a Sunday lunchtime with a Freshly roasted chicken.

A true contractor will allow the free market to take control.

Either the cat will fall on good times, perhaps progress to be the Mayor's cat or get run over by a bus or even skinned by a fur coat maker or sold as meat by a Korean immigrant. Market forces at work.

One of our cats performed a useful chore last night!! She rolled a mini sausage roll into the front room. We haven't had them in the house since Xmas, so god knows where she found it! But it was some very impressive litter picking

I have been encouraging the cats to eat fleas. But they decided they dont like the taste.

At the weekend our German Shepherd bitch decided to sample the taste of wasps from a Rosemary bush in the garden. Right up till the point one got caught in her mouth and gave her a few zaps. Her nose and face started to swell up until she looked like Frank Bruno after a Tyson fight. All better now thankfully but won't be trying them again in a hurry!

I hate cats - I'm not really an animal lover and I put cats at the top of the list of pet hates. They are useless, at least a dog can perform a job and it at least looks sad when you tell it off - cats simply stick their tail up to give you a good view of its @rse
