As always people choose their news sources based on their own points of view. When the two main political parties are campaigning based on how much they're going to put up taxes for "green" issues, you could reasonably conclude that the BBC's left wing bias matches their intended audience.

The bbc gives its own version of the truth. Gerard Bakers example of the interview of Helen Mirren is a perfect example of how they base their reporting and questionings on their own assumptions.
