How about, the more an agency is praised, the worse it is (ie sarcasm).
Computer Futures are incredible, they must be the best agency in the world. The agents are all well spoken, well educated professionals that only care about the welfare of the contractor and client. They have no interest in margins, sales or bonuses. They never fabricate jobs and would not even dream of extorting references from contractors. 5 stars, no 6 stars!

there used to be one but the big boys jumped all over it and eventually had al the negative comments removed. It eventually closed but it was interesting to hear some of the horror stories and dodgy practices some of the big players got up to.

Thing is, all the comments would have to be based on fact, and proveable in court, with evidence to back it up. Otherwise we'd have more Orange Genie moments.
Or you could help people log in anonymously and defer all responsibility of the content to the users. Even make it an entirely public board with no moderation or membership - then it'd go haywire, a bit like irc.

A mere distraction!Originally posted by ratewhoreI can just imagine the legal repercussions...

C'mon, there must be people brimming with ideas out there. Sensible, sublime or ridiculous ideas, deosn't matter.

I'd welcome it as a public service - a name and shame/praise site would be v useful if people took it seriously and didn't just harp on.
But it would last all of two mins before it gets sued to oblivion.

Has anyone ever thought of........
.....developing a 'consumer' website for contractors along the lines of www folowed by ratemyagency.com or ratemyagency.co.uk where others could research how good or bad an agency is.
What kind of categories would be included for people to judge on. Would it force agencies to smarten up or just be another opportunity for people to go off on a BMW (er, that's Bitch, Moan & Whinge for those who don't know the term).
Ideas for content please and future development please.Tags: None
