On a slightly related note - Sky may have crap customer services but their product, if not all the content is head and shoulders above VM

Sky+ Remote Record

I don't know how long it's been available for but the remote record feature of from sky.com is working now . It was only working from mobiles before. So you can now program you Sky+ from wherever you may be.
