I once had a dealing with their 'comms' specialist and he wanted me to agree to him 'exclusively' representing me for a fixed period of time, selling it as some sort of advantage to me. I declined, as the only 'benefit' I could see to this was that he could shaft me on the rate because I wouldn't be hearing about the same jobs from other agents and know what the rate on offer was.
He did fix me up with an interview when I was about 8 weeks from finishing a contract (in Germany). I made it clear to him that I wasn't going to shaft the client and leave early (quite apert from not wanting the logistical difficulties of doing so) . He didn't pass this information onto the client (we discussed their requirement at the interview and they though I could start immediately). So when I was about to be offered the job, subject to an immediate start, he gave me a load of ear ache claiming that I had lied to him about my availability (which I hadn't).
They don't seem to have comms jobs any more, no loss.
