Nah. I bet the spammers just messed up. You can't tell the originating domain, to my knowledge, only the IP address. The return address is always spoofed with a real but innocent one. I'm getting my domain spoofed at the moment and it's a real pain deleting all the undelivered mail. At least it shouldn't get blacklisted.

If spam blockers use a point-scoring system to assess originating domains for spaminess then maybe it's a spam-free but random email sent to large numbers of recipients, with the intention of weighting that domain away from a "junk" rating, if you see what I mean.
