My brother used to work for them, was mostly involved with helping foreign students get set up when they arrived at the start of their courses.
Money down the tube?
Not sure, its got a higher profile abroad than you might think and is very closely linked to the high commissions/embassys
Given that their focus is getting foreign students in then thats a good thing for our universitys as the foreign students get royally shafted for fees
