A chap walking through the office the other day was whistling 'please release me'

I had to check his badge coyly, yeah another permie

I remember the last boom when permies flooded onto the market - the trouble was they bought their 'permie' mentality with them and suddenly I had to deal with permies & contractors with 'attitudes'

I always find myself humming that song "We gotta get outta this place, if it's the last thing we ever do" when awaiting the escape from a contract.

I want to. I just wish to see a contract that pays more than what I make as a permie. If I had to do it for less money, I am sorry, I leave the battle to you.

I was thinking more office space... I actually did that at my last job. As in not go into work... i didn't go swindling the company out of money

I am getting seriously senile in my dotage. I could remember the tune, but I couldn't remember where it came from so I had to look it up

I've taken the step after contracting and got a 'proper' business. The step after that is to quit the UK for good.

started a topic Hey permie, thinking of becoming a contractor?

Hey permie, thinking of becoming a contractor?

You'll know its true if like me you found yourself singing 'Do you hear the people sing' leading up to the last days of permiedom, and 1, 2, 3...

Do you hear the permies sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a permie
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
    When tomorrow comes!

Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
    Beyond the barricade
Is there a world you long to see?

    Then join in the fight
That will give you the right to be free!

Working...
