I heard on the radio a poll that Labour under Brown is 12 points behind Tories under Cameron (29 to 41) - worse than Blair (31 to 40).

Brian Curnow will be creaming himself over those figures.

I think that a candidate from the left has a very good chance against Gordon Brown. The boarder party only accepted B’Liar so that they could get there grubby hands on power. Prescott at his deputy was a sop to the left. They now look to Brown to take the party back to the left. However, he has cast a lot of doubt on that. If a quality candidate stands on platform that he will go back to Old Labour then he or she will have a lot of support.

Doesn't matter who stands against him as long as we vote him out of office at the election 100 days later.
