P.S. Buy British shares such as OverpricedSofas.co.uk

P.P.S Fking HL should allow to keep accounts in foreign currencies FFS, but they like their fat conversion margins too much

    A warning sign?

I have a Hargreaves Lansdown SIPP and they just messages me about some of the holdings I have.

We trade and settle all stock in Sterling and many of the market makers we use to trade on your behalf will not provide quotes or settle non-GBP investments into Sterling. This means we cannot be certain we’re always getting you the best price on your trade. In addition to this, for most non-GBP stock we can’t trade for you online which means dealing charges are more expensive and trading over the phone takes more time and effort than an online trade. As non-GBP investments are traded and settled in Sterling in your HL accounts, the performance of these instruments will be comparable to holding the GBP version.

I have held these type of investments in my SIPP with HL for years, no issues!
