24ct, or 22ct for pure gold rings and 18ct if they have stones in them (and by stones I mean Diamond, not Zirconium). Anything less is pikey!!

My gf and I share the same opinion:
It's all a load of sh1t and the day will pass by unnoticed. We can all be romantic any day of the year, not just Valentines Day so I will surprise her with a curry and lager another night...

Edit: Actually it reminds me of a funny story. Last year I was in the tea room very early at work and this nice posh(ish) fella was making a cuppa and I was behind him.
he turned round to chuck his tea bag in the bin and nearly hit me with it.
I said, very innocently "just what I needed - nothing liek a tea bag in the face first thing in the morning to wake you up!"
A few seconds passed, then we both registerred what I'd said and couldn't move for laughing.
