You know how in IE when you make a typo in a web address, it doesn't just keep your entry up there where you can fix it, it uses what you did type to do a (fruitless) search? I just found out how to change that. You choose the option:

Search from the Address bar/When searching/Do not Search from the Address bar

Do not search when searching? Logical, huh?
