I'm only guessing but that seems to be the continuation of the A316, which is the continuation of the M3. When it goes through Twickenham it is still 40 mph because it is not under the control of the local council who have imposed a blanket 20 mph limit. So maybe it's linked to that somehow?

Politicians (AKA Scumbags) love increasing taxes at start of their term.

Within a year it will become clear that ULEZ does not collect as much money as planned, in fact it might start losing money (what I think is going to happen in Bham) and a lot more cleaner vehicles will be included.

So is what you're claiming is the ULEZ will expand on the 25th and on the 26th they will change which cars are exempt from the fee, effective immediately?

I'm didn't say it won't ever happen but I don't think it'll change within a year. By saying "after October this year" anything that changes at any time between 25th October and the end of the known universe you can claim as being a prediction worthy of an "I told you so".

• Euro 4 (NOx) for petrol cars, vans and other specialist vehicles (up to and including 3.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight) and minibuses (up to and including 5 tonnes)
• Euro 6 (NOx and PM) for diesel cars, vans and other specialist vehicles (up to and including 3.5 tonnes) and minibuses (up to and including 5 tonnes)

He could've easily created a policy to ban high polluting vehicles over 3 years which would've had the same affect on creating a cleaner environment over that period. Instead he uses environment argument to justify a blatant tax grab.

We have had years of warning about this and some people were able to use discounts to get new vehicles whether they were for individual use or commercial use.
