Thursday’s results look likely to fulfil Sturgeon’s bar for a “simple, democratic majority” of independence supporting parties to get IndyRef2 off and running.
They have had this for the last 5 years.

So again Nicola Sturgeon Evangelical Ministries Ltd needs the faithful to perform one last display of devotion for her before you can get to the promised land.

“Currency analysts suggest the answer to that question lies in the scale of the victory. Sturgeon’s SNP holds 61 of the parliament’s 129 seats, but the latest polling takes her past the magic 65 mark needed for an overall majority to 67 – close to the SNP’s landslide of 69 seats a decade ago.

Among Holyrood’s 73 constituency seats, the nationalists are dominant at almost 50pc of the vote, despite the furore that resulted in Sturgeon’s one-time mentor and former SNP leader Alex Salmond set up his own breakaway Alba partyearlier this year.”
