Women! Just don't get the point do they?Originally posted by SandyDownThere is nothing wrong with curry - its how its prepared, there are cream based and yogurt curry sauces, best curry is the home made one, you'd know what goes into it, and you can control the calories, get some easy recipes and try it. Another good trick with the rice is when you cook it mix rice with some vegetable (e.g. spinach or any other green) so instead of eating 2 table spoons of 100% rice, you end up eating 50% rice and the rest are veg however the taste and satisfaction is still the same. You could do the same with mashed potatoes i.e. just use 50% potatoes and 50% cauliflower or Swedes, you'd still have the same amount only half the calories.

I’m back on the beer and curry diet. I’m sure that it’s good for me. I’m going to keep some changes though. I’ve gone off the milk in my tea and coffee and I enjoy having a lot more fruit.
Does the Great Maker (PBUH) speak to me any less? Nope, all that extra fibre gave him more to say!
