good for you, there are worse predicaments to be in
how is your daughter, out of hospital and back to normal ?
have you lived outside the UK before ? if not I think it will be
a very interesting life experience for you to live outside the UK
and see how your opinions of the UK change or not as you see our
country from the outside in, you may like it abroad and decide to
liquidate all in the UK, you may also see opportunities abroad to
invest in
or you may decide to do nothing, and I have learn't in life the decision
to do nothing is not a decision to be ashamed of.

I've got in with a company thats doing rather well. Rather well indeed. Cant say who.
I have impressed them with what I know and how I do it, so they would like me to go perm(going to create a role) or give me an extended contract, but with a view that I will work for someone out of the US and be included in the headcount but as a contractor(which makes them nervous).
So I am trying to work out if I
a) Go Perm in UK for a high salary.
b) Extended contract based out of UK with trips over to US few weeks at time or
c) Upsticks and go and work in US for 6-12 months then with a view to go and do 6-12 months in Singapore (always wanted to do these things) as contract on fully paid expenses(take family with me put everything else on hold).
d) Bollocks, cannot be bothered. Finish up and do another contract.
e) Become a shopkeeper.
We're in discussion phase. So I am trying to work out, do I put my rates up, go perm, stay as is, charge more for US etc etc.
Great company, great opportunity. Can I be bothered?

nah everythings fine
just the pressure here is off a little so having a bit of fun
teasing but nobody's biting
MF seriously, why with everything you have to take care of
in the UK, why are you thinking to go to the US ?
are you thinking more long term, liquidate everything in the UK
and move to the US for good, and use finding a contract there
as an initial toe in the water to see if the US is really for you ?
All the best,
Milan.
