In fact the impact appeared to be rather harder than previous US landings and that sort of landing on tetra-firma would have been fatal.

Pah, they weren't even trying to pretend it was real. Crappy pixelated fuzzy images of the descent in a world where smartphones have better cameras.

If that's the current state of the art for real-time video rendering they can stuff it up their moon.

Of course, afterwards they released decent footage, once their 3d rendering had been completed.
