“ Roger Jenkins was such an influential figure within Barclays that he was nicknamed “big dog” by his colleagues. Yet working for the star investment banker was akin to being his “pooper scooper”, the High Court has been told.

Yesterday Mr Justice Waksman, who is hearing evidence in a £1.5 billion lawsuit against Barclays, was played a recording of a call in which Stephen Jones, who was a senior banker at the lender, complained to a colleague about being Mr Jenkins’ “personal flunkey”.”
