It is big business causing the inequality. They tell the plebs they should blame immigrants and the plebs fall for it.

It’s probably a bit more complicated than that.

“Big business” tends to be more on the straight and narrow. They are more likely to have an international workforce, unions, structured pay grades, etc. I don’t see any evidence for bosses of “big business” appearing on the news and blaming immigrants for anything. Not even Tim Wetherspoons.

Certain newspapers have an agenda of blaming immigrants for everything, because that suits their agenda of selling newspapers and causing division.

The government doesn’t help either. Zero-hours contracts, etc. If businesses want to screw low-paid employees, the tools to help them have been provided by HMG.

One question. Is there any way of removing inequality apart from a depression?

Depressions come from protracted recessions and like 1930's US, they are made all the worse with nationalist governments.

The current day was born on printing debt. Assets inflated beyond the norm whilst wages remained the same. A massive devaluation of the currency or a massive increase in household income is needed. We're peak 1930's debt fuelled nationalist bluster. We only hope a real war can be avoided.

The economy is fooked and it's Nada to do with the EU, but I understand why people voted the way they did.

The [western] middle-class are the biggest losers in globalization but it is they that distribute their wealth the most into the local economy so it is felt the most by the poor as they live more hand to mouth.

There is no "next rung" on the ladder for the underclass, people without hope will simply become deplorable.

This John Harris clip makes for interesting viewing. 48 hrs before the referendum in 2016, why did people vote the way they did? All comes down to money. Poor, no-job, lack of social mobility? Then you voted out, simple as that.

Is central government any closer, in these 3-years, to arresting growing inequality? Hell no. The poor thought they had nothing to lose before... I have a feeling they're about to find out that was not true.
