    My understanding is that the actual figures of the US dead are calculated on the basis that they must have been killed in Iraq on the battlefield, many troops who suffer terrible wounds are transferred to Army hospitals in Germany and the US, those who do not survive their wounds and die in hospital - apparently are not classified as battlefield casualties.

    Mind you its a good job they are not transferred to UK hospitals then MSRA would have wiped all of them out .
