If you don't have any real skills such that you have to be a PM, why on earth would you expect more?Originally posted by Cirrus View PostToday as a project/programme manager you can typically expect to make £500-600 per day.
That's the same as 1998.

GPMP (Gross Project Manager Product) has gone up by 0% for the last two decades. Don't be surprised if everyone else is in the doldrums as well.
Anyway back on track, I wonder why the UK has fallen to the bottom of the pack and is doing so badly that it's on the verge of recession in the midst of a global economic boom?

And guess what, that's how it's going to be for the forseeable future.
Welcome to the reality of that which cannot be named

Was contacted about a job in Bristol the other day, exactly what I got in 2005. Feel sorry for the poor mug that gets the job.. for the reason being the experience / skillset required is 10+ years.

Eurozone growing faster than the UK
So why is the UK not enjoying the global growth? What's it doing wrong? I mean with unemployment so low, how can we be verging on recession?
source: Eurozone growing faster than the UK - BBC NewsThe European Union economy slowed in the first quarter of the year, official Eurostat figures have showed.
Economic growth in the eurozone slowed to 0.4% for the period from January to March 2018, compared with 0.7% in the previous quarter.
Growth in the 19-country single currency bloc reached 2.5% year-on-year.
However, the eurozone is still doing better than the UK economy, which only grew by 0.1% in the same quarter.
"This was the fifth out of seven consecutive quarters that the eurozone grew faster than the UK following the EU referendum," said Barret Kupelian, senior economist at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
"This suggests that the UK has not been able to reap the full benefits of an upturn in global economic activity, unlike other large economies like the eurozone and the US."
Mr Kupelian said the latest GDP figures showed that the UK had been the slowest-growing economy relative to the US and the eurozone for four consecutive quarters.Tags: None
