    I found having children saved me from wasting my time with such frippery. Once they're in bed every minute to myself is a blessing to be savoured, especially if I can remain awake to do it.

    Life below zero, Building Alaska, Building Offgrid etc - anyone else glad to bbc television at the moment?

    I find them oddly fascinating. Especially that crazy woman who Ives in a bunch of Nissan hunts 500km above the Arctic circle. And the mad innuit woman with that crazy tattoo on her chin.

    Anyone else similarly hooked?
