Similar to the rugger boys, but half of them retired or got long-term injuries. The trouble is SB, as soon as English players win something they lie back with delusions of greatness. And so do the fans.

If Alex Ferguson had been in charge of the cricketers they would have been back training the day after winning the ashes, not drinking all night, then spending the next few months swanning around Trafalgar square, Downing Street, Buckingham Palace, various TV studios and book publishers. How professional was that? Last winter's cricket tours to Pakistan and India that followed the Ashes were a damned inconvenience!

Perhaps this obsession with Freddie Flintoff will come to an end too, so he can just get on with playing cricket again under a proper captain.

You know, all those years hard work and hunger to win, and they lost it all on that ridiculous three-week lap of honour round the country after winning the ashes. Starting with Freddie's all-nighter.

No, that is what the Englishman Simon Barnes thinks of Panesar.

The aussies don't know what to think, because they haven't seen him yet.

I was loosing faith in Flintoff as a captain, he hasnt seemed to be able to think laterally before with his tactics, but this is good stuff... England only really know how to attack well so bully to them!
