    One of the lesser known aspects of Brexit is also the number of other agencies that the UK will be leaving, including Euratom which is actually independant from the EU:

    The United Kingdom announced its intention to withdraw from the EAEC on 26 January 2017, following on from its decision to withdraw from the European Union. Formal notice to withdraw from the EAEC was provided in March 2017. Withdrawal will only become effective following negotiations on the terms of the exit, which are scheduled to last two years.

    In June 2017, the European Commission's negotiations task force published a position paper "Essential Principles on nuclear materials and safeguard equipment".

    This does mean though that the UK can build a nuclear pwoer station now out of balsa wood if they feel like it...

    Actually it wasn't that much gold to begin with, given the size of our debt it would do nothing at current prices. Perhaps pay for a few more Tory elections.
