But who was behind the false claim? The site’s information page said it was recently set up to inform users about developments on Brexit, but every one of the 10 or so stories it publishes daily is geared towards attacking remain supporters or backing leavers.

Is it run by the Southend News Network which has a linked ad account. That spoof site has at times slipped into fake news. When it reported last year that the M25 was to close for a week so it could be used for an endurance race, the story was picked up in good faith and reported on LBC radio.

SNN is run by Simon Harris, an Essex teacher who until now has tried to guard his anonymity. He has confirmed to the Guardian that he owns the domain to YourBrexit, but said Walter White was the pseudonym of a 19-year-old student in Southend “who is fed up with the liberal elite”.

“I don’t have time to check all the stuff he writes so he tends to make more mistakes,” said Harris.

The student, who spoke to the Guardian on condition of anonymity, publishes YourBrexit from his bedroom while also studying for exams, but that doesn’t stop his site generating significant traffic.

He claims that a million people click on YourBrexit each month and he has a reach through Facebook of 3 million. It earns him several hundred pounds a month in ad revenue although he says he would do it for free. “I’m fed up with the constant anti-Brexit news stories and decided to do something about it,” he said.

If the non-British EU nationals on our team left there would be a lot of British managers left to manage... 1 British dev and 2 ops... Considering the fact how important our project is to the FS in this country I find it rather amusing to watch what's happening in the UK after the Brexit referendum.

Exactly after Brexit the car industry and the banking industry will be hollowed out, life will be miserable and there will still be floods of immigrants coming in, they just won't be coming from the EU.

EU immigrants are extremely well qualified so I will expect water pipes to start bursting, electrical installations to spontaneously burst into flames and probably the streets will stink because the rubbish isn't being collected. The NHS is already running into an acute crisis because their EU staff are leaving in droves.

SNP, Lib-Dems ?

There isn't much chance of a Labour majority, but a very good chance of a coalition of chaos. The SNP will be demanding a referendum for support and Labour will almost certainly give way on that. After all the prize is Unions marching up and down the county, uncollected bins etc. and Union leaders sitting in Downing street with glasses of beer. It isn't as if the Labour Brexiteers give much of a sh*t about Brexit, their manifesto is mere platitudes.

A second referendum is now almost inevitable.

Anyone who travels much will realise the UK is looking distinctly 2nd rate in many areas and has been for a while.
Dirty streets, terrible roads, some of the most deprived areas anywhere.
Outside London, the country isn't at all a global player, but looks like what it is: a has-been.

There is no need for that. Whoever wins, Labour or Tories, will continue with Brexit.

They're both scared of losing votes to each other. The Tories won't be realistic on Brexit because they think the public (who they've decided all want Brexit at all costs) will vote Labour, and Labour think the same if they don't say the same as the Tories. A cross party committee* would at least mean both sides could come back from the brink and present a joint front for not being stupid about it, and they only have to worry about losing roughly equal amounts of votes to UKIP, which with FPTP doesn't matter in the slightest.

*I know. It would never work.

The first thing the Tories should do is form a cross-party negotiating team for Brexit.
This is too important an issue for ideas to come from just one party - it's akin to a national emergency.

Advisory referendum. Advisory. That was their main error - should have made it binding then all of us here would be more accepting of the result. As it stands, there is zero contractual reason to 'do' anything with the the referendum result. That isn't going against the democratic process, but is instead observing democracy: it was for advisory purposes of informing parliament. Was a result referenced for either possible vote? No.
