    You're getting your slumps mixed up. Building on the floodplains is a great money spinner, cheap land and people don't ask questions until the first insurance claim when the foundation is slumping into the river. All Tory approved.

    When did that happen? The Barratt's home I bought in the early 1990s failed to meet quite a few building regs. They told me they were only "guidelines".
