Agree! Much easier to chord a Ctrl+R than nav the mouse or move your entire hand to F5.

There was a function key which would bring up an image of that reference in wordperfect.
I liked wordperfect - it was tons better than wordstar!

Refresh button every time
This new fangled windows thing was a great step forward! - it was a nightmare trying to produce documents with WordPerfect in the olden days when the only way you could do anything was by holding down different combinations of keys and you needed to keep a reference next to the keyboard to remind you what keys to press to change to bold / italics / set paragraphs etc.
You kids don't know you are born!
