Failed to get in there for the second time last night - this time because it was closed, chairs on the tables and a skip filled with bricks parked outside. No news on t'web about what's going on - their answerphone still gives out opening times but it was deffo shut.

I think the general fighting and drugs moved to Yates just round the corner. Tried the one next to bundobust, was alright, at the end of the day it's just oily food with chillies.

Aye, i've not been in the Prince of Wales for ages (especially now it's gone...). It was crap. Never sampled Bah'tap so can't really comment. I shall proceed with caution and advise of my findings

Actually I was in the back room at Bah'Tap on Saturday watching the Rugby. It's a decent place now, and with Head of Steam opposite, Brewery Tap on New Station St above and that one on Boar Lane, the area is a haven for craft beers, or over-priced rubbish if you are teetotal like what I am now (Docs orders).

There's Bundobust too next to Tharavadu, never tried but it's Indian Street food whatever that is exactly...

One in M/Cr too...

He's a Saffer actually! Bah'tap is a craft-beer type pub, not bad now, used to be the Prince of Wales, which was bad and served slop. Always being closed down due to fighting/drugs/etc....

Thinking that Bradford, Sheffield, Manchester and Leeds etc are "up North" is like thinking the West Coutry is Devon and Cornwall

The real West Country in England is Cheshire/Shropshire/Herefordshire simply because you can't go further West without being in err.. East Wales which last time I looked was another country

So up North = Newcastle Carlisle, then go any further and you are at the mercy of the Scots where everywhere I have mentioned is down South.

They are all North and West from where I am.

I note they serve Dosa. I got quite fond of that when in Chennai. The HBoS bobs were obsessed with dosa and had to go to London to get proper ones. Good job they don't know about this place eh?

Funnily enough it is exactly what Babur serves with their Chicken Chettinad,

The curry and rice is underneath it, a big Dosa the size of a china mans hat

Babur is similar in that its a modern Indian type place.
They do the best Chicken Chettinad I have ever had though
