Milan, you really are a cock sometimes. However, you do provide some small measure of amusement, which is rare on here so I will let you off.

MF,
December is a bad month for looking.
Milan in 'feeling more relaxed' mode.

True enough. If you can only secure your new role six weeks before the old one finishes you're in trouble.
I remember I used to plan 3 years in advance, including contracts on software that Microsoft hadn't written yet.
Come on NedProd -I've got a Tornado Project lined up for June!!
Sheesh.

Was getting worried myself. If people of Milan's calibre are finding the market tough after just a few days, what chance for the rest of us.Originally posted by DimPrawnJeez Milan you sail close to the wind.
With only 7 weeks to run on your current contract and after a massive search lasting a whole few days you pull one out of the bag.
Exciting stuff.

I push my luck enough as it is by reading the Shooting Times at my desk
Fair enough
I understand!

Bravo!!
So are you brave enough to tell me any projects you've worked on then...incase our paths have ever crossed? The Oracle world is very small!

As for the clone - if you've got a spare set of datafiles knocking around on disk, about five minutes - if not, as long as it takes to copy/backup and restore/generally misappropriate some datafiles, plus about five minutes. Afterall, it ain't rocket science - it's just that the usual bunch of c***s that call themselves DBA's would have you believe it is. W*****s, IMHO.

How long does it take you to do a clone? I always base my opinions of DBA on that
