Well intially I'd come to a safe and controlled stop in a safe place, put the hazards on then go an' put the warning triangle 50 m behind.

Then you'd think that one would swap with the spare, but, apart from getting ones hands dirty, what to do with the wheel you've just taken off? It won't fit in the gap now vacated by the "space saver" and won't fit in the passenger seat, guessing that is, you'd be the sort short of a passenger.

So me, I'd phone Dansk Autohjælp and get them to take us to the dealer, and phone the dealer warning them I'm coming.

Threaded invented tyres - no one is more qualified than him to speak on this topic, not even me.

I didn't know you can become "qualified" for tyre fitting. What is the course you have to take to get accreditation, is it a City & Guilds, OND, HND or a degree?

Judging by the employees at my local tyre shop, I'm not sure many of them made it beyond 16 at school.

btw..what would you do if you had a puncture

Well, I guess that means you haven't read your car insurance and so don't already know the answer.

    So, so, sad.

They haven't done anything wrong yet!

If I was that worried I'd have labelled the winter wheels before taking it in, but I suppose that solution is too simple for a genius like you!

Send your car to india - they are far more qualified and it will be cheaper.

started a topic Fscking grease monkeys

    Fscking grease monkeys

What would you do? I am taking a car to have its tyres swapped for the winter ones.

Do I drop it off, go shopping, and then try and not worry about what they're up to?

    or

Do I stay an' watch to see them struggling to put a wheel back on because they don't know about the locator pin on the hub (15mm long, 10 mm diameter i.e. not exactly small or easy to miss) when they fail they then try and put a back wheel on the front...

Fscking grease monkeys. I'd do it myself, but a condition of the insurance is that I have to use someone 'qualified'. Fscking joke if you ask me....

Working...
