    Maybe if this approach comes to the UK it will be in the form of that citizens income that is often talked about.

    If this is means tested then it just demotivates more people to work for minimum wage.

    The only deflation we face is wage deflation. The rest is fudged (e.g. rent and mortgage costs not factored into living costs).

    In Japan as you might guess. This is where central bank policy is going after the negative interest rates run out of steam...

    Japan cabinet approves $130 billion in fiscal steps as part of stimulus

    Dow Jones reported Tuesday that the package will also include handouts of $150 each to 22 million low-income people.
    So basically printing money and transfering it to benefits packages.
