Cameron wants Turkey in because he knows that the older EU members e.g. Germany, France will change some of the EU principles.

No they won't.

Firstly every other accession country who has applied and wanted to join hasn't taken nearly 30 years to get in. Some EU countries who are now members didn't exist in 1987 at all or as independent nations e.g. Slovenia, Estonia Simply because they all passed the criteria to join the EU which Turkey hasn't.

Secondly all the newer members will veto their membership as they will lose the funding they are getting from the EU.
