Last year alone we paid in a net £8.5billionOriginally posted by VectraMan View Post"Countless" is about 6 isn't it?
Nobody has ever suggest the UK can't trade with the world if we're not in the EU (other than the Brexiters who claim the EU stops us trading with the world). It's only a question of whether it's better for trade to be in a free trading block. It's hard to believe anybody thinks it isn't.
We've never received more from the EU than we've put in.

Oh get a room. Frankly I care not with whom, just do so and fairly bloody soon...Originally posted by scooterscot View PostExcept more of this as the truth will out. The exit camp is falling apart at the seams.
Lies, capital flight, no immigrant solution, back of the queue for trade. The fallout will be massive when exit camp explodes.

Not bit if it leaves the EU it will at least not have to worry about a committee of 28 deciding it.Originally posted by VectraMan View PostTrading with anyone means following rules based on a consensus of at least 2 countries. The UK doesn't get what it wants in any scenario.
In addition if it is two countries then a mutually beneficial arrangement can be made for both countries
If it is the EU and a country then there could end up being an arrangement which is mutually beneficial for both - however that does not mean it will be beneficial to every country in the EU

We do not say the EU stops us trading with the world

"Countless" is about 6 isn't it?Originally posted by LondonManc View PostThe world has changed since we joined the EU. Global business is far easier to do. We don't need to be in the EU to offshore to Poland, Pune or anywhere else.
We don't need to be in the EU to bring in skilled migrant workers where we have gaps.
We DO need to be in the EU to give countless billions to other EU countries for no reason other than them being members of the EU. It's become a socialist superstate that's very good at handing out other people's money.

yes that's the problem it's too simple. things have changed quite a lot in the last 40 yearsOriginally posted by original PM View PostWell it is not really - all he is actually saying is
Before the UK were part of the common market we sold to countries in Europe
Currently we are part of the 'EU' and we sell to countries in Europe
Therefore if we leave the EU we could still sell to companies in Europe
It is actually a pretty simple basic statement

That is about the most stupid argument I ever heard

Currently we are part of the 'EU' and we sell to countries in Europe
