    Before the general election the Tory party released their manifesto of which one action was to bring in a 'Votes for Life' bill:

    the Conservative manifesto pledge which said: “We will introduce votes for life, scrapping the rule that bars British citizens who have lived abroad for more than 15 years from voting”
