You claim 45p per mile (for first 10000 miles) for the actual miles travelled between your office and your temporary place of work. In whose name the petrol receipts are is largely irrelevant.

Claiming Millage Allowance and Car Sharing

Hey guys I have a question about claiming millage allowance. I share a car with the missus and we are both responsible for filling the tank. I use the car every now and then for contracting work, the rest of the time I take the train.

Some fuel receipts are from her account and others are from my own personal account. Am I able to claim for both or just the receipts from my own account?

    Thank you in advance.

Working...
