Why in the 2016th year of our Lord:

- does the usb port on my computer have a power output so low it can't even charge my phone faster than it depletes on standby?

- must I have a fan heater on in our air conditioned office?

- do the taps in the bathroom emit scalding hot water with no way to adjust it?

- does my shower at home do the opposite such that I must turn the cold tap on in order for the temperature to be bearable?

- do laptops still exist for sale that do not come with an SSD as standard?
