Or you could have unlimited rabbit for the price of an air rifle and the cost of a trip to your nearest field. My brother lives in Devon and goes out shooting all the time, but you need to avoid the sluggish looking ones - they've probably got mixymctoasties (sic).

Why not ask a local farmer to get you some? Rabbits are a pain in the @rse if you have land. They dig it up, multiply rapidly and convert grass into small round balls of sh1t. If you offer a farmer a few quid he might well go out early in the morning and bag you a few.

When I lived on a farm we used to catch anothers farmers sheep and sell them back to him as they were always on our land scoffing our grass - meaning we had to pay for more feed for our animals in the winter. When the lambs were about he never got them back, but we ate a sh1t load of lamb. Really little baby lambs taste nice. One Sunday we had a whole one in the middle of the table, complete with 4 little legs sticking up - obviously took its head off as that would be horrible!

You need to find a butchers that specialise in game. You won't find that in Tesco's.

Buy the bunny in a pet shop. When home hang it upside down, and perform a karate chop at the base of head. Instant Death. That's what our shopkeeper back in Portugal used to do. Mind you, she (yes, she!) was a bit of a savage.

I made that a couple of weeks ago. Delicious.

Franco, get yourself to the Wimbledon Farmers' Market. You can usually pick up rabbits from one of the meat stalls there. I do.
