Nice pic. I think the clouds helped a lot of people see more than they would have done on a bright day (without eclipse glasses).

Completely cloudy in London. Didn't even get that dark.

A disappointment compared to the total eclipse I witnessed in the Caribbean in 1998

Had some spliffs, mead and red wine whilst we waited for the eclipse, as expected the temperature dropping faster than NLUKs knickers was a giveaway to get the cameras out

Shame it was so cloudy in north wales, still I got some moody photos with the mountain in the background

I was late into the party as well.

Was a bit of a home-made filter. Managed to get a small sheet of Baader Planetarium Solar paper from Amazon. Up late last night cutting stuff and playing around with cardboard, double sided tape (No More Nails probably wasn't the best option), and a filter step down thingy I had. Cost of a 'proper' filter £80 plus, cost of my home-made jobbie about £14 and a cut finger.

I wish I'd planned better, I chucked on a polarising filter and just set very small aperture and fast shutter to minimise the amount of light. It was all very last minute and ad-hoc

Wouldn't you just know it? Not a cloud in the sky now in Cambridge, but at 9:30am it was like being inside a ping pong ball, and the eclipse was hardly noticeable

Well let's hope they had a good view in the Faroe Islands

Was just thick clouds here, went pretty dull, but no more than a typical rainy day. Of course it's pretty much clear skies now, but a tad late.

Cloud cover helped here in Salford, also the office windows have film on to keep the sun off our screens, so it was like looking though very dark sunglasses. When the clouds cleared a bit we got a good view, although I was thinking it'd go darker overall. Been darker here from very thick stormclouds in the past.
