    Check water hardness in your area on your water supplier's website. Try Yorkshire tea for hard water.

    2. Empty water, quickly pop in an Assam tea bag, pour in more boiling water, and leave for another minute or two.

    3. Add sugar and milk

    Although I read the other day the producers are trying to sack the ladies who delicately pick the leaves by hand, with robots that rampage through the plantations practically tearing the tea plants out by the roots. So before long we can expect lots more large twigs and suchlike.
