For the benefit of Freako, this is a bloody eel fish.
Yum.
Further research appears to indicate that it may be a very large sea lamphrey.
In other news, it also appears that eel blood is toxic to humans* & mammals, but is ok once the buggers are cooked.
So eel sushi is off the menu.
*That being "very" as in fatal.
