I get a call this week in the usual agent style:
Caller: are you looking for contract work at the moment?
Me: nah sorry I'm already in one
Caller: well thats perfect!
Me: huh?
Caller: We help contractors to...
I cut him off at this point
Me: is this a scheme? What firm?
Caller: err.. what? Err yeah. . BFP
This is the second call I've had from them. From what I know theyre a snake oil loan pay scheme offering silly high returns from my invoice value.
I tell him his scheme is illegitimate and this turns him nasty and on defense. Problem is he cant put down the phone until I have. I give him some more grief and then hang up.
Both times they called I asked where they found my details. First time they found me on Monster. This is actually against the terms and conditions. Second time it is from CWJobs.
Somebody needs to shut this scumbag operation down.
