I did a stint with Shell there yonks ago. It was a horrible place. A woman in our office called the police one day when some bloke kept pointing a gun at her from his house. She also told be how she saw a family steal a garage from another house!

I used to go to some night club in Wythenshaw in my yoof - the golden somethingorother - it was a good night out - had a floor show with dining and if memory serves used to be 2nd tier acts - i.e. The Drifters
I did go back there a couple of years ago for Lloyd's - although I was London based so it was only one visit for a conference
The only time I have ever agreed a rate cut was again during that Lloyd's contract, at the time I had to take it as circumstances were different and cash was needed - but at renewal I'd already secured another contract elsewhere so I declined the extension
These days I would tell em to shove it - but I don't need the cash so much as I did then (3 x school fees to pay!)

Whythenshaw was the largest social housing estate in the world when it was built. I briefly delivered pop there for alpine soft drinks when I was 17. Scared the tulip out of me then, and probably still would.

Only Bank I worked for where trainers, jeans and a sweatshirt was the standard dress code. Camouflage!
