In this case it sounds like the agency was supplying services to the client without a PO - i.e. the agent had nothing in place to indicate they would get paid. Surely the agency should have, at that point, advised the contractor that there was no longer work for them, or at least a risk that they would not get paid on time?. It's akin to the contractor working without a contract in place?

Instead of emailing the agent pick up the phone and ask them. If the excuse isn't plausible tell the client you haven't been paid and the agency is on notice you will withdraw your services after 10 days.

Your contract is with the agency, not the end client. If they haven't got a PO it's their problem. They should pay you in line with the agreed contract.Originally posted by TOSH1 View PostHi
I normally email my signed time sheet and invoice at the end of the month with a remark that asks them to contact me if there are any problems. I am normally paid on or around the 12th of the month.
This time however, I emailed as normally at the end of Feb and was expecting a payment to have come in by now but this did not happen. I emailed the agency and asked them I have not received a normal remittance email that I get and did not receive a reply. I phoned the agency and was told that payment has not been maid because the purchase order has not been received from the client.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
Regards
