The the PCG first timers' guide should be your first port of call as it covers this in some detail.Originally posted by JarodI am more interested in "how to be a developer contractor" so to know some diffreneces for developer.
The articles over at www.itcontractor.com/ also give a good insight into the life of a contract developer.

DS,
The guy is a newbie,a foreigner and has asked an idiotic question.
This board's long and glorious traditions dictate that he be roasted alive verbally, then told to STFU and FOAD.
You actually gave a helpful answer. Tsk tsk.
You'll find the regimental revolver in the top drawer of the desk in the billiard-room.

Try the first timers' guide over at the PCG site. That has an excellent overview of what it's like to be a contractor.

ASP.Net contractors ?
Hey
Can you share your experiences working as a .Net developers on a contract ? I am going to start working on contract in UK about October. I am currently in Poland and I am polish native. I am working as a ASP.Net developer in poland over 2 years so I believe I have enough experience to work on a contract. What's the main diffrence working permanent and working on contract for a developer ? Are the timeframes for a project shorter ?
