    My linkedin profile shows current contract PM role so no real clues in relation to hiring. True that there could be any reason why the phone when dead, probably just got cut off. Just my curiosity to see if this is technique being adopted by agents for whatever reason.

    Was beavering away in the office today and call comes through from the switchboard -

    "Hello - is that Kaiser78 ?"
    "Yes - how can I help"
    "I have John Smith on the line from ABC Recruitment who would like to speak to you. He says you will know who he is"
    "Okay please put him through" (even though John Smith did not ring any bells with me.)
