How is the testing field market now? I have automation test skill but it doesn't seem to get any advantage of my skill.
    What tool sets?

I dont see what August and holidays has to do with it. Projects work all through the year. I've never yet been on a project that ramps down during summer. The market is peaks and troughs all year around now.

Lots of agents get involved with market research and one of the best ways to do that is by getting on the phone to contractors so always expect 'fishing' calls. Either tell them a load of bollocks if you have nothing better to do, tell them you're too busy to talk or engage them.

It's August and the kids (plus their parents) are on holiday so the market is quiet unless you find a project where someone has screwed up. You will tend to find these projects offered with a tulip rate.

I suggest you talk to agencies as not all of them will be fishing.

If they are then be polite but firm and tell them you can't help them, and you as you are busy you are going to end the call and do. Lots of agencies will be getting their newbies to contact you and they are very easy, with practise, to get rid of on the phone.

If you have a few contracts under your belt some agent will want to talk to you to remind you to contact them if you are looking for a contract as they think they can make money out of you.
