    Foundation Software Testing e-Quiz

    Hi,

I'm currently studying for the iseb foundation exam (02/08/2006) and have come across quite a few multiple choice questions and answers. I've recently turned these into interactive quizes, of which one can be found on my website

    www.ineedatutor.co.uk/iseb/foundation_test_2

Feel free to have a go...tell me what you think about it and how much you'd pay to have 200 questions packaged in the same format as on my website. I've also got 5 ebooks (including Effective Software Testing) to accompany these questions and I can guarantee that you'd pass the exam if you go through all of my material. I intend to paste my exam result in this forum as a testimonial. What better ad, hey?

I look forward to having some feedback. Enjoy

Yep, my Mrs did the foundation exam without doing the course first (mind she's been in testing for a while). She did do the course for the practioner level stuff.

There's a fair old demand for testers at the moment (at least around Bristol) and the rates can be higher than PMs...

Thanks Meridian, I like the idea of self-study - I am spending nearly three hours a day on a train at the moment so a good way of passing the time!

Outsourcing - just have to have as many balls in the air as possible!

Oh, and if your development outsourcing company is aggressive enough then they'll eventually start going for outsourcing testing as well, so there's little comfort there I'm afraid!!!

I am a Notes developer at the moment on a contract (five years experience, PCLP, CLP), but I was side-tracked for a year to work in a testing team which ended about six months ago. Thanks to anybody who takes the time to answer.
The ISEB foundation course will give you a good grounding in the basics, but the key to the next testing contract is experience and what you can sell to the client. If you have the same level as experience as another potential candidate then the ISEB may swing it and show you're a serious contractor.

Personally, I've found Elfriede Dustin's books to be a better source of furthering practical knowledge than the ISEB course, but the course gives more "buzzwords" that are useful in interviews
